  • The Challenge

    The House of Fundraising had grown into one of NZ’s most trusted fundraising providers, the official Whittaker’s chocolate partner, with happy customers at schools and sports clubs from Northland to Southland. The business had a lot going for it, but visitors landing on the site needed to quickly understand two things: how much they could make, and how easy it is to get started. That needed to come through faster and clearer.

  • Our Strategy

    We rebuilt the site from the ground up, with the target customer front of mind throughout. Most people visiting are busy school administrators, sports coordinators, or parent volunteers who have about 90 seconds of patience. The site needed to meet them there.
    The centrepiece is an interactive profit calculator on the homepage. Pick a target, and the site tells you exactly how many packs to sell to get there. It removes the mental maths that’s always a quiet barrier to ordering.
    We restructured the product pages around profit margins and the appeal of the Whittaker’s brand, wove in testimonials from real schools and clubs throughout, and made the path from “interested” to “order placed” as short as possible.

  • The Outcome

    Google picked it up before anyone asked it to. With no SEO work attached to the project at all, the rebuilt site climbed from an average search position of 21 to 8, taking The House of Fundraising from page two to page one for their most valuable keywords.
    Click-through rates nearly doubled. The site now sits in the top two positions for searches like “Whittaker’s fundraising” and “house of fundraising”, and around position 4 for “fundraising NZ”, which is a competitive term that takes most businesses years of active SEO to reach.
    It’s a good reminder of what well-considered design can do on its own.
